A little while ago, it was asked whether there could be a sleep timer for the kindle app. At the time, I suspected that the following would work, but didn't actually confirm it until yesterday when I was playing around with the alexa app on here, having it read a kindle book, and had it tell me that the sleep timer was not supported on this device. Whatever. The following will work for anything that is playing on your device, including the kindle app. I have yet to try it for the alexa app, but I suspect it will work there, too. Go into clock, and double tap the timer tab. Set the amount of time desired, then go over to where it says, when timer ends. Double Tap this, then scroll to the bottom, where the last option is stop playing. Double tap this, then double tap the status bar to get back to the top. Tap the set button. Finally, tap the start button. You can then go back to the kindle app and start it reading. When it gets to the end of the alloted time, it will say the time, and in a few seconds, lock the screen. When you open your phone again, it will still be in the kindle app, and it will start reading from where it stopped.
