A significant upgrade from version 5 of the bundle is a revamped Audio Cleanup Assistant plug-in. This self-contained suite is designed to save time and help less experienced producers identify and fix issues without necessarily knowing the details of what causes sibilance, why a voice sounds a little weak, and so on. At the heart of its operation is the Intelligent Assistant mode. With one click, the plug-in analyses the audio on the track, identifying issues that need to be fixed and then loads up several separate plug-ins into its interface for the necessary repairs.
If you spend a lot of time working with voice recordings, this is a highly adept set of tools that yields excellent results and can fix all kinds of recordings. If the complexity of spectral editing puts you off, ERA 6 is doubly attractive.

It is impossible to properly illustrate the results of applying an audio effect in a written review. One BIG change in this latest bundle is MUCH improved access to online help, because sometimes the interface is a bit too simple.

The ERA Bundle works with all major DAWs. Each plug-in has a sleek look and a friendly GUI, with simple buttons and knobs for novice podcasters. With so many people starting podcasts, this is one of the easier routes to repair badly recorded audio full of background noises.
There are two tiers for the ERA bundle, Standard and Pro. Standard includes De-Esser, Noise Remover, Plosive Remover and Reverb Remover. Pro includes those four plug-ins and also ERA-D. D combines noise and reverb removal and can work in cascade or parallel. Additionally, D also comes with a slew of presets to give you a better starting point for dialing in your audio.
Removing plosives followed the same process, just using a different plug-in. The De-Esser and Plosive Remover plug-ins worked equally well, and we would not hesitate to use them on our regular projects, even just for a little help. The dial is kind of like ordering in a preset and adjusting the amount of the output. However, it would sometimes be nice to have the option for more granular control.
It seems almost all audio recorded on location will have a bit of noise to control in the signal. Because of this, having a good noise remover is key to a professional outcome. Again, more control in the depths of what the one knob adjusts would be nice, but overall the Noise Remover plug-in is a go-to tool for most voice over and location audio. Just keep it subtle; a little goes a long way.
The Reverb Remover is a great tool to have if the echo of the room is distracting from your capture. This can be because the mic was placed too far from the sound source or because the room was live with hard surfaces. Reverb Remover affected the voice quality the most, so use it sparingly.
This plug-in works well when trying to match other recordings, too. Being able to pull a bit of the room out of a signal can be the difference between your viewer noticing a shift in the audio and staying immersed in the story.

When we last looked at this bundle it had five plugins and included the ERA-D reverb and noise remover. Since then, ERA-D has alas become a legacy plugin. However, Accusonus has been busy expanding and reworking their offering and the result is ERA 5.
Some plugins are updates of previous versions (Voice Leveler, Plosive Remover and De-Clipper for example) and some are completely new (Voice AutoEQ, Voice Deepener, Reverb Remover Pro and Noise Remover Pro). Processes now covered are noise reduction, de-essing, de-clipping, plosive removal, reverb removal, levelling and EQ.
Included with both the Pro and Regular bundles, Audio Clean-Up Assistant is a host plugin that allows you to chain up to five single-knob ERA plugins in series. Plugins are selected from the dropdown menu, and you can use more than one of the same plugin if desired.
Understandably, this massively enhances flexibility and affords a quite surgical removal of noise or reverb. Reverb Remover Pro also includes processing response time, which we found achieved everything from very swift, quite artificial outcomes to quite laidback results.
The corners represent three different EQ points (Air, Body and Clarity). Dragging the cursor and adjusting the overall intensity control achieves quick, powerful EQ changes. Voice Deepener adds lower depth to the voice and does a great job enhancing a vocal to create a richer sound.
Of course, with the subscription option, you could simply sign up for a month when you find you need these particular features. All told, this is a solid update creating a unique bundle of excellent tools.

ERA5 is the new bundle from Accusonus via Pluginboutique which I found perfect for processing anything related to voice recordings. It suits amazingly well but is not limited to, anyone who works with voice-overs, podcasts and radio shows.
This one is a game-changer! Countless times I got audio which was recorded in a non-treated room with lots of reverberation making it very hard to get a clean voice out of it through processing. This plugin interface is very similar to the Noise Remover having 5 types of Focus but with an Auto button underneath the Output, Gain fader to compensate for the lowering of the volume due to the dereverberation.
