Dirk's Piano Tuner is a simple way of tuning a piano.
Dirk's Piano Tuner analyzes the instrument and uses the results to calculate the optimal tuning for the piano which has been analyzed.
The tuner had to automatically recognize every note accurately, within a very short period of time.
It also had to perform at least as fast (preferably a lot faster) than the classical system of "tuning by ear".
