2025-11-04 Pennsylvania Election ID

Hi, I just checked the Election Coverage page of the VIP website and the PA election is listed as live, however I didn't see any sort of announcement on this list. Is that accurate, and if so, could you provide the EID? Thanks for all your hard work pulling this data together!

Hi Tamara,

Thanks for flagging -- that was just a quirk of timing on my end! The Election Coverage calendar updates automatically, but we post in this group manually. 

You've probably noticed that I've just sent out the message that the Pennsylvania 11/4 election is indeed live.

I've also made a change to our Election Coverage calendar, so it now shows the EID as well.

Thanks, Lily. I also realized right after sending this that we could fetch the EID from the Google Civic Info API itself, but that's a helpful change in any case. We're glad to be able to get started sharing this info.

Hi Lily, I'd also like to alert you to an address error that you might need to correct manually.

Philadelphia Ward 30 Division 16 is returning as

30/16 Storefront [617 S 24th St]
617 South St
Philadelphia, PA 19146

617 S 24th St is the correct address. It was previously correct on the City website but wrong at the State, which is where I'm assuming VIP got the address. We reported the problem and PA DoS has now made the change, but the old address is still being returned by the API. I realize that you might have a cadence for updates that means this is already in your pipeline, but we wanted to close the loop since the initial report came in from a user of our site and we'd love to be able to tell them that it's now serving accurate info.

(Also if there's a better venue than the forum for reporting to the team maintaining the data, do let me know!)
