Hello Matra Pro, I have been looking around everywhere for a bike shop that can do the firmware upgrade. Beside the swiss shop (techbikes), it looks like bike dealers are not so keen on using any kind of computer equipment in their workshops. I am still stuck with the V3.8 and would love to be able to use the BIB to do the upgrade. Unfortunately, the link you had provided in an earlier post does not lead to any file. Is there any other way to get hold of this software + latest firmware? Tkx, FastMax

Why would you like to do an upgrade? I think you can unblock the bike with the 3.8 version, later one you can't.
Originally my Matra dealer unblocked it, but then Matra changed the controller with a 4.1 version and you cannot unlock it any more. Extremely annoying, so I'm putting my bike on the block. If somebody wants a Matra i Step Cross -pedelec.de/pdfs/MatraCross_Web4.3.pdf in the south of France.

The controller shows Rev3.8 when I turn it on. I have tried to do the 3773 tick but without success. I understood from the previous msg in this thread that using the BIB might be the way forward to remove the limitation - which can be done by the techbike dealer but I am not located in Switzerland and cannot find anyone here in Belgium to do the trick.

I also understood that some vibration issues are resolved with the new firmware versions. Actually my priority is to get rid of the 25km/h limit. if I skip the firmware upgrade, it is fine for me. In anycase, it would be fun to play with the BIB software.

I found a TREK-RIDE+ dealer manual linking to www.dexter.com to get the software: -plus-dealer-information-2-9-meg?dn=y
but even with this information the belgian dealers seem to be very reluctant to use any PC in their workshop - it is more a problem of computer knowledge. also no answer from the BionX importer.

I am belgian too (Ghent area), riding a trek 500+ running version 4.4.
Been trying all kind of codes to get rid of the speed limit, but no luck so far.
I had an offer to buy a new bionx console without speed limit from a website in the US. The problem is that you are never sure that this will work with the controller on your bike.

I don't think is just a code or the console, you also need to program the wheel; and you need the BIBOX to do it, if you find somebody in Belgium (A BionX dealer for example) that has it let me know; have a couple of Kits I would like to modify,

Could there be more parameters in EPS Bike Interface" - Properties to unlock more config points?
phps anybody do have some debugging skills (the .exe files are compressed so more registry-entrys should be searched via debugging on runtime)

Is this the settings you see in the BIBox ?
I tried putting a console without speed limit in my Matra/BionX NiMH 250W,
it works great! I could feel assistance up to 35km/h instead of annoying 25km/H, the only concern is weather the console is calibrated for LiMn and could en-up damaging the Batteries,
although I imaging that the BMS in the batteries would avoid that. Does anybody know how to get a BiBox?
or problems with replacing the console?

I never tryed to change batt-type, but it is there to select, also voltages and so on.
It would be nice to find someone who has skills in changing parameters, also to get a registry-dump with all parameters......

My name is Paul from Bali and i just bought a Trek Valencia +, Im using a console for revision 4.7 and have been trying to add more speed limit to 32 km/h but always failed. Right now im still at limit 25km/h.

The speedometer and odometer will indicate miles but should be equivalent to kilometres. Your max speed will theoretically be 52kmh, which should effectively remove the limit. However, the thing can really only push you up to about 36 or 38 kmh on the flat at best I think.

Speed limitor from Trek bikes are locked in controller and wheel. So if you get your hands on a unlimited controller it still does not go faster then 25 Km/h.
Wheelsize will do just a bit but don't expect miracles. Changing to Miles does not help you too, the system counts in Km/h even if changed to Miles.
Codes are locked so programming will not work either. Even German software (Diamant or Villiger) can't be used because the limit is rooted inside the system and can't be overruled with normal dealer software.

I just last week changed from my Trek bike the speed limit to 45 km/h with BIBOX/Cheat Engine. So it's doable. I will go now little over 30 km/h with assist level 4. But I'm heavy and tall biker. Someone skinier may go faster.

OK. I was able to download the dealer software from QBP. It allows for connection of the system to my PC and allows me to view details of the system and download/install updates from bionx. However, it doesn't provide any configuration beyond the items that Bionx allows one to configure. It certainly doesn't look anything like the screenshot posted by automated. The EPS interface software must be something entirely different? Still hoping to find a copy of that, someone somewhere must have it.

Please note I understand the concept of Cheat Engine, just wonder how to find the right
memory address(es) to change the speed limit. Did you search for "25.0" using Scan Type=Exact Value
and Value Type=Float like I did ?
And did you only change a single address value or multiple (like me 3)? (A screendump from Cheat Engine would help a lot).

Do I need to change the value in memory every time the bike is hooked up to the bibox in order to
prevent the custom speed limit to be automatically overwritten by the default value (25.0) when
shutting down the system?

Hi Daan, I had the chance to be one of the first to hack around on the dealer-software in a german community.
We made some modifications to the dealer-software - so stumbling around with cheat engine is not needed anymore, but should work too.
as you are from netherland german language would not be a barrier for you, i quess. - please google for "open-ebike forum". Here you can find an open community with yuite minor restrictions.
We (the community) have done the following:
-Sorting out the Hack with cheat-engine
-Modifying dealer-software to accept modifyed data-files
+-Modifying data-files to open a custom-page
+---Dumping all possible parameters in dealer-software to sort out possible modifications
+----Coding a simple Gui in HTML to modify parameters as: Min/Max-speed, torque amplifyer, Max-Torque and many more.
-Building an independend Can-Interface from scratch to turn off Max-Speed without dealer-interface and dealer-software =common developer board, software as freeware, easy to build

Hello all I am from Belgium and I purchased an Oxford ebike with 250W bionx motor with G2 console. Speed here is limited for maximum 25 km. When I tried to change code 3773 I receive on screen on top 25 and on bottom is blinking HI SPED and in right bottom corner I,
How can I remove this 25km and eventually what are the next steps?
Anybody who can assist me in this please ? Would appreciate , thanks, a biker from Vlaanderen

Hi You need to reprogram the console, a guy in germany sells a mod device =product&info=44, it worked well for me. It only works with one console unless you ask for a 2 bike version and is a bit more expensive. Which means it will store the serial of your console and will only work with that console.
Once unblocked the maximum speed will depend on your battery, 26 Volts around 32 km/h 36 Volts around 40km/h.

You can get a mod device at site prochip.de that unblocks your console. Is the only way with modern updates. 3773 only allow you to see the limit now not to change it. You can get a version for 1, 2 or unlimited number of bikes. I bought one and worked well (I live in Brussels). With a 26v you can expect assistance up to 32 km/H, with a 36v battery up to 40km/h.

It seems strange but riding at a speed of 30 Kph is quite different than riding at 25 Kph and takes a bit of getting used to. Braking distance is more important, and you approach pedestrians and other riders at a faster speed and need to anticipate better. Part of my ride is also on gravel bike path which is much slipperier at the faster speed. Lastly, the battery life is proportionally shorter, and the actual exercise effort is more.

The 500W BionX motor is available here with a 40 Kph limit, but otherwise the only thing sold is the standard 250W with the Euro limit of 25 Kph. There are Bosch bikes available with 32 Kph limits, but I don't really like the Bosch drive. I have tried to 40 Kph Stromer and the 40 Kph Bosch and find them a bit scary to ride in city traffic.

I have a 48v Bionx system, my third over the years.
A while ago i noticed someone advertising on e bay that they will for a fee unlock the bionx , removing the speedlimiter.
DOes anyone know who they are. they were based in Florida.
Thanks

After a few weeks away due to studying, I return to the forums with a Jool 5 attempt. I've analyzed the reasons why I've failed in the past, most of which can be summed up as being too ambitious with vehicle designs (too much unneeded mass), but now I think I've found a way to do it whilst maintaining a good aesthetic.

Back on Kerbin, the command module of Astarael III is prepared for launch. The Tylo lander is launched connected to this part of the mothership, as it is inconvenient to launch independently. This launch is crewed by Sigline Kerman, Kerlinne Kerman, Kimberta Kerman, and Jentrice Kerman. Valentina will join them in orbit later.

Astarael III in orbit of Kerbin. Attached in front of the cupola is the Tylo lander. Behind the crew module (which is also the Kerbin return capsule) is the cargo truss. This is where the Laythe plane and the lander for Vall, Bop, and Pol will be attached. There is also a small fuel tank for refuelling the Vall/Bop/Pol lander.

Lots of pics to dig through, but your craft looks really reasonable, a tenth or less of docs is sure sufficient for a viable entry.
Good luck, give Tylo a kick! Don`t hit the mountain tops... I just gave your 666. like. Yes.
