Concept for perk selector screen

I've been tossing the idea around for a new interface for the perk
selector and point distribution screen. Here is a rough idea image of
what I was thinking.

The arrows signify the path in which the windows will move into the
screen. When you hit "C", the main screen darkens and the three
windows slide into place.

And also, here is a very simple idea on what the window would look
like. This is just the perk selector and I know the colors are pretty
bad and clash, but it's just to get the point across.

There is supposed to be a white boarder that goes from the top, along
the left side. If you open it up in Gimp or something, you will see it
better. I was thinking of making it look more metallic, but just
wanted to get the concept down.

Also, the gradient is supposed to be more transparent. It was supposed
to be an alpha blend, but exported wrong.

Opinions?

Looks cool. I prefer to right click to choose, though (not select an item and
then press select).

Good. We need to implement animation of showing/closing and skins for
windows. Skins can be simple png textures on opengl panes.
