Visual Composer free version is an ultimate page builder to get your web design project started. Visual Composer Premium unlocks a full website builder experience and gives you unlimited access to the Visual Composer Hub (a cloud marketplace of elements, templates, and extensions).

Yes, Visual Composer is a visual tool which means it lowers the barrier for non-technical people to start their web projects. With an intuitive interface and comprehensive tutorials (including video tutorials), you will become a WordPress expert in less than a day.

Visual Composer will continue working on your website even after your subscription expires. Still, an active license ensures uninterrupted access to plugin updates, content elements updates, templates updates as long as access to the Hub and our support.

However, I am being told by a service that Visual Composer is the main culprit on why the website is extremely slow. I have no idea how to begin troubleshooting this, and I am asking this group if anyone has had this told to them and what they did about it.

You shouldn't use Visual Composer. Have a theme custom made so you don't have extra bloat in your site. Visual Composer creates plugin madness and bloats your database. Its not a quick process but making a brand new theme or starting with one of WordPress's themes and making it your own is your best bet. You could also hire someone to do it.

There is a drastic fall in the speed; having said that; if you tend to use Visual composer some of the premium themes; which have been optimized for VC, you will not face such issues. Wowmall is one such theme on themeforest; which has a decent speed. They do use VC and also provide it free with the purchase of their theme.

He checked for user-agent-string for Google Page Speeds Lighthouse and then shows it a screenshot of a website instead of the website itself. He even shows separate screenshots for mobile and desktop and has added some CSS animations to make the loading seem more realistic.

I have page elements, such as images, custom headlines, text etc that have been working fine - all of a sudden, there are no longer showing up on the site. The back-end is all there but the only thing showing up is the essential grid. Please urgently advise.

Thanks for the response. I have done so with the third party plugins - nothing helped. I have tried to also update X theme to the latest version but it keeps giving me an error. The site was working absolutely fine yesterday and now it there are multiple elements that just do not appear. It does seem like there is some sort of error, and I would need your assistance in rectifying this.

Guys, I have tried absolutely everything - theme is up to date, plugins have been de-activated and then re-activated again. wpconfig file amended for space. NOTHING is working, and there is still no display of the visual composer elements.

I downloaded the auto updater plugin as recommended on earlier posts. I already had the latest version of the theme, but installed it anyway and re-instaled the visual composer plugin and the problem seems to have fixed itself. But not long after (30 secs or so) my site crashed and i got Error 500.

I have done what you have suggested and it still does not work. I have not installed any plugins other than the ones recommended by your team. I have deacticated them all and installed them again one by one.

Firstly i installed the Visual Composer and it works fine. Then i installed the woo commerce plugin which created the crash again. So its these two plugins that are not working. I had updated woo commerce to the latest version.
