I am happ to see this list.
I have working with PC back in the first home pc offering.
I programmed for a TI 994a, and then moved on to CP/M.
I had used Debian Linux with Speakup, but had to stop because it was
not compatible with what I was using for my job.
I am currently using Jaws for windows with Windows vista at work, and
Open office 11.1 on my Laptop.
I will be installing Vinux on my laptop with in the couple of hours.
Thanks for letting me share in your knowledge.

Hello,
My name is Nimer. I have been working with computers in the windows
world for a while. I have tried a mac, but they're too proprietary. I
first tried Linux with version 6 of ubuntu. I was told it was
accessible, and I wanted a switch from windows. I, however, was not able
to access basic admin tasks. So, I waited till version 7.10 of Ubuntu
and tried again. Still no admin prompts. I went through the steps
outlined on the blogs and wickies, but no results. I waited and waited,
still using a live CD of different versions of ubuntu until about a few
weeks ago, when I heard about Vinux. I installed it, and I am using
nothing else now.

Thanks
Nimer J

Hi all, I'm an eyecare professional with an interest in visual
impairment. I've been wanting to contribute to a project of this
nature for some time and will help out where I can.

Currently running Arch linux on my main system, Ubuntu 8.04LTS on the
family computer and have the kids running Arch, Ubuntu and Xandros.

I still haven't managed to actually try Vinux out yet, though!

Hello all,

I am a legally blind network management student in Nebraska, and I
have been hoping to learn about Linux for a long time now. I have
installed several different distros, but have never been able to
configure all the accessibility software in a usable fashion, so I
have been going about in a bit of a circle. I don't know enough about
Linux to make it accessible, but I don't have the accessible programs
available to let me learn about Linux, but... Well you get the idea.
I can't wait to grab your distro and see what I can learn. I hope you
won't mind me asking a few silly questions along the way, though I
will try to keep them brief and to the point. Thank you for all the
work you have put into this distro, and I hope I can be of some help
in the future.
