Hi Rob,
As you requested, I installed Trusty (Ubuntu 14.04.3) to compare the
installation process as I am reporting problems with the Vinux install
process.
I was able to connect wifi. I can't do this with Vinux.
I heard all the messages and progress reports and I could access all the
screens without any special interventions.
I am using a Latitude D630 (an older laptop) with 4gb of ram.
I hope this info is useful.

I have reinstalled Vinux.
I chose to use my guest wifi to avoid the password. I checked both
download updates and 3rd party software. I was connected and except for
the silence after partitioning the disk and erasing everything
previously installed, the install went okay.
However, I get to the greeter with speech, but no matter which desktop I
choose, I do not get speech.
In the past, I have gotten the desktops to speak so I am at a total loss
here.

Hi Rill, thanks.
I also installed Trusty 14.04.3 and had trouble when choosing to install
to entire disk.
Which method did you choose?

I am not aware of any differences to the kernel and graphics stack that
woudl effect your inability to use wireless.

Thanks
Rob

Hi Rill,
thank you for taking the time to test.
Super Alt S should enable speech.
Where the super key is the Windows key for anyone at a later date
reading this mail archive.

Did you have Orca running at time of isntall?

How ever you configure Orca on the live image is how you will get it
installed.
There was a problem on an image where the accessibility profile was not
being copied.
Please tell me the date of your install.
One way to tell easily is by checking the head of your
/etc/apt/sources.list for the date, i.e 20150810 etc.

Thanks
Rob
