Hi,
Just got the Qu-BD heater blanket and it has thermister leads.
What is the method I should use to hook these to a MBI extruder controller?

Same with the new Qu-BD extruder/motor.
Should I switch over to the MBI temp sensor or is the thermister it came with somehow compatible?

Thanks!

IIRC, the platform heater has the voltage divider for the thermistor on the platform board, so you'll have to build the voltage divider circuit (just add a resistor of the proper value. Check the schematic for the right value.

If you have gen4 electronics, you'll want to use your existing thermocouple. If you have gen3 electronics, you can use the included thermistor.

Here's the latest results...
the wire path is like this:

+5V pin to blanket thermistor
out of thermistor to Signal pin
Signal pin to 4.7K resistor
resistor to ground pin.

Now, I have a temp that's not 1024  and that's good.
Problem now is that the temp shows 153C while the actual temp is 26C.
Where do I fix that?
Thanks.

The internal thermistor probably needs a different thermistor table to be loaded. I'm not sure how to do this with MBI firmware, but it will probably require compiling it yourself.

Alternatively, you could disconnect the heater's internal thermistor from your electronics and instead attach an MBI-supplied thermistor to the outside of the pad to measure its temperature.
