Big Steps

Gardeners,

 

On Saturday we will be making some big steps on the garden.  We have a sign which we will be installing for the garden.  Also, an automatic soaker hose irrigation system will be installed!!

 

Tasks for this Saturday for which we will need help:

 

1.  Laying Soaker-Hose and PVC pipe through the garden

2.  Helping to install the large sign

3.  Finishing the digging of the garden walkways

4.  Digging of the garden center-zone where the benches and irrigation controls will be located

5.  Collecting and spreading of leaves and grass clippings throughout the walkways

6.  Taking in God's creation beauty as we stare in awe at the garden

 

This is a lot of work if it's just a few of us, but together we can really get a lot done!  If you have even an hour or so on Saturday from 8AM to 1 or 2PM, could you please stop by and give a hand?

 

On Sunday April 18th, we will be having a table at the church after service to allow others to get involved.  At that time, we will have a more clear vision of the mission of the garden (e.g., where the food will go and how the community will get involved).  We also hope to have some garden related training classes / seminars to offer.  Would any of you like to help by being at the table as people come by to sign up?
