I don't quite get how I'm supposed to add the vimfiles to vimtouch. I managed to copy my usual _vimrc content over to my mobile, but then it can't find any of the syntax or color files.
It's an unrooted device, so I probably can't access any of the folders. The one it mentions in the error message (data/data/net.momodalo.app.vimtouch/files) doesn't seem to exist.

I tried for hours now, and can't come up with a solution. Would it not be possible to make that vim-touch uses some accessible folder on the sdcard for such configuration files?
Can someone explain (to a non-coder) how to set this up?

I don't know how to set it up like you want. Apologies. However, I could only move my files from the default location using a terminal emulator with SU access. Otherwise, I would need to save each file with the full path I want.

What path did you move the files too?

Just the standard documents folder. So, :sav /sdcard/Documents. Same thing when I create a new file: :new /sdcard/Documents/documentName or :edit /sdcard/Documents/documentName
