Missing file pieces

I have a 3 meg text file that has lost pages in the middle on several occasions. I don't know if it's vimtouch, or vimtouch recieving something odd from the bluetooth keyboard, or hardware or... File is usually only touched by vimtouch, moon reader, and rsync. I'm a professional unix admin so it isn't a dumb noob vi error.

Vimtouch is suspect only because it's an editor, I don't really think it's the issue but I'm mystifed and looking for smart people with theories I can go test.
