vimperator autocomplete not working as expected after Firefox 49.0 update

Hi,

I'm running Firefox 49.0 on Arch Linux. Since the update using tabopen or open always says "No Completions" when I begin typing a URL. This happens regardless of whether I've been to a URL before or not.

As far as I can see, the default setting is complete=sl, which worked perfectly on the previous version of Firefox, so I'm guessing something's changed that prevents vimperator from accessing the location bar entries.

Anyone run into this already? Otherwise, is there any useful debug info I can gather to help pin down what's going on?

Hi,

Yup, this is a known issue and is already on the issue tracker: https://github.com/vimperator/vimperator-labs/issues/590. It's also just been fixed in master: https://github.com/vimperator/vimperator-labs/pull/591.

I'm going to *try* and make a new release with this (and potentially other fixes) this week.

Sorry for the trouble but unfortunately, none of the main contributors have a lot of time to dedicate to the project. We definitely don't want to let it die but with webextensions and e10s along with the XUL deprecation it's a bit demoralizing.

Really no need to apologise. Things changing underneath you is the bane of anyone making plugins so I totally understand. Thanks for keeping it going despite the pain!

Setting complete=sh functions as a reasonable workaround in the mean time anyway. Good luck with the new release!
