Hey all,

Thanks for creating vimium, it's extremely useful (when I remember
it's loaded).

Quick question - is there a good way to switch away from the omnibar
(Ctrl-L) when it's focused so that I can execute vimium commands?
Currently if the omnibar is focused, I have to hit Tab a couple of
times, but if I've scrolled down on the page, that scrolls back up to
the top. I suspect this is just the way Chrome is, but I wanted to
make sure.

Thanks,
Ari

Hey Ari, if you enter a URL into the omnibar and hit enter, the loaded page will be focused and vimium will work. However, if you just want to get off the omnibar without changing the URL, I don't know of a good way of doing that without hitting tab a few times.

Ideally we would be able to bind a few application-wide shortcuts, but that's an unfinished Chrome extension API we've been waiting on for years. See http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=27702. You can star that issue to vote it up.
