Hi,

I'm thinking about adding a new option to vimium, but wanted to check if something already exists which would satisfy my requirement first. Many websites auto-focus to an input box on page load (for example a login page). As a vimium user, this is disruptive to my workflow - when I open a new page my muscle memory tells me to hit 'f' and then select which input or link I want. When I do this, it starts typing 'f' instead of giving me a link selection.

So what I'd like to do is implement a feature in vimium to force newly loaded pages to always be in command mode. If necessary, this feature could also have an option to turn it off. So my questions are:

  1. Does something like this already exist?
  2. Does this sound like an ok feature to add?
  3. Should this feature have an option to turn it on/off?
  4. If I add it, will someone review/merge it?
Thanks in advance,

-Jake

All the cool options live under advanced options. I think the one you're looking for is labelled "Don't let pages steal the focus on load".
