Hey guys,

I was wondering if you would be interested in a temporary disable/pause Vimium key binding?

There are some sites like Youtube that have their own keybindings (such as speed up video 2x) that I want to use and I though it was convenient if Vimium had a feature/key binding that allowed me to pause it temporarily without toggling though the settings inside the browser.

I was thinking the "!" key to switch to "normal/pause/disabled mode" -- all commands will be ignored until you hit "Esc" to exit.

1.46, 1.47, 1.48 versions implemented site-specific excluded keys but suggestion would give the user more power without interacting with the GUI and should alleviate all the issues related for most use cases.

I welcome suggestions to the key binding, mode name, etc.

I want to make sure you guys are cool with this before I issue a pull request.

Kind regards,
JC

Hi Jacon,

It sounds like you're asking for 'insert mode', which is already implemented (bound to the "i" key by default).

That thought never came up. I've always had a different though on insert mode and never translated to using it in this manner for vimium. Thanks!
