I'm pleased to announce the that the first-ever VIMChicago user group meeting will take place Wednesday Feb. 24th from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

Topic(s):

I will be giving a short presentation on vim tabs and the Ack plugin.  Following that we'll socialize, ask questions, and hack on some code.  Please bring your laptops.

I will be ordering pizza and drinks, so please RSVP so that I can order the correct quantity.

I wish I could make it, but I wouldn't get there in time from my suburban client today.  Hopefully there will be a second meeting.  

Vim is one of those tools where seeing others use it is hugely helpful because you learn things you didn't even consider were possible ("ci{" for example).  Maybe someone can share a few of the "Aha!" revelations from tonight on the mailing list.
