Role: Tech Lead – Java Microservices Developer

Duration: 6 + Months contract  

Location: McLean, VA *Remote for now during COVID

Customer: CAPCO (Financial Consulting Services) 

Must Have Skills

• 9+ years of IT experience with 6+ years of Java
• Leadership experience (Team Lead, not manager. Needs to be a hands-on tech lead)
• Converting existing services/monoliths into microservices (Java 8, SpringBoot, Spring REST, AWS API Gateway)
• Cloud Experience (AWS - EMR, SQS/SNS, Lambda, StepFunctions)

Nice to Have

• Building CI/CD pipelines
• Mongo DB / SnowFlake

This role will be 90 % microservices and 10 % on data engineering side.

• Breaking up Java monoliths into containerizable, 12factor Java microservices
• Microservices service mesh architectures

Core Responsibilities

• Converting existing services/monoliths into microservices (Java 8, SpringBoot, Spring REST, AWS API Gateway)
• Cloud Experience (AWS - EMR, SQS/SNS, Lambda, StepFunctions)
• Mongo DB / SnowFlake
