Shouldn't the cursor not blink when its moving?

Sorry if that was unclear.
Please try moving the cursor, stopping it, and waiting for the duration of blinkwait, blinkon, and blinkoff in guicursor.

When running vim -g -clean, guicursor was set to:

n-v-c:block-Cursor/lCursor,ve:ver35-Cursor,o:hor50-Cursor,i-ci:ver25-Cursor/lCursor,r-cr:hor20-Cursor/lCursor,sm:block-Cursor-blinkwait175-blinkoff150-blinkon175

Just noticed this, no blinking using my decades-old setting.

set guicursor=a:blinkwait200-blinkon200-blinkoff200

Kubuntu 26.04, X11

I noticed this too. When compiled with Motif instead of GTK3, the cursor does blink.

Best regards,
Tony.

I confirm that after applying patches 9.2.944 to 954 the cursor blinks again. Now I can (if I want to) tweak its blinking speed by means of my vimrc. Thanks Christian !

It has been mentioned it may still not work correctly on 9.2.0954? https://groups.google.com/g/vim_dev/c/lmGzT9gftvs/m/4srbg82dDgAJ

Can anybody reproduce this?
