[vim/vim] GTK4 sign icon has artifacts (Issue #20333)

64-bitman created an issue (vim/vim#20333)

Steps to reproduce

1. Run these commands

sign define test text=>> icon=<some image>
sign place 2 line=<line> name=test

2. Move cursor over row where sign column
3. Artifcact should appear next to it

Expected behaviour

Artifact should not appear next to sign icon

Version of Vim

9.2.538

Environment

Operating system: Arch Linux, Wayland

Thanks for the report. I couldn't reproduce this on GTK4. Could you share the icon file and a minimal vimrc that triggers it?

It seems that it only happens with set signcolumn=number

Artifact is the white block column resembling another cursor right?

If yes, I suspect missing clipping.
