I'm not sure of that myself. There's such controversy about this topic and confusion about "singular they", that it seemed worthwhile to add the links and note. I understand they may be removed from this PR. Thanks for the feedback; I hope there's more.
In addition, this text is under the section
3. Writing help files *help-writing*
Some examples, which are plentiful in the links, seem appropriate . Especially considering that many have little experience writing gender neutral language in English. Copying in examples might be a copyright violation.
