[vim/vim] Completion menu max width (Issue #10901)

Is your feature request about something that is currently impossible or hard to do? Please describe the problem.
I can't set the completion menu max width.
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like for vim to have an option like pumwidth, but instead of setting
the minimum menu width, it would set the maximum menu width.
Describe alternatives you've considered
What would also help is to set the completion menu width depending on the current entries.
Vim currently will set the width acordingly to all entries (even those that are not visible).
Another solution would be to set the popup window minimum width.
Currently, there is only options to set the popup maximum width.
Additional context
The problem, as can be seen above, is that I can't easily read the info from the popup info window.
