[vim/vim] CoVim (pair-programming in vim) integration / alternative? (Issue #11607)

I was pointed to :CoVim, just to find out that it is out of maintenance.

Is there an alternative available?
If not: would it be reasonable to request this to be added to the "default plugins"?

You can use, tmate for sharing terminal, https://tmate.io/.

Thank you for posting this, while it does neither answer the question of an alternative for vim itself, nor about the option to integrate it into the default plugins, it is quite useful as an alternative to screen.
