TheDreadedAndy created an issue (vim/vim#18687)

Steps to reproduce

If a string is passed as an argument to a function, and that string contains a ')', then highlighting breaks. It seems to interpret it as the end of the function call.

Example:

This issue seems related to issue #6943

Expected behaviour

The quote at the end of the function call should not begin a new string.

Version of Vim

9.1.1710

Environment

OS: Ubuntu 22.04
Terminal: st
