@chrisbra The 'scrollfocus' option has been non-functional since v8.2.4936. Given that it has been broken for a long time and serves no practical purpose, I believe it is no longer necessary to retain this setting. We should consider deprecating it.
*'scrollfocus'* *'scf'* *'noscrollfocus'* *'noscf'* 'scrollfocus' 'scf' boolean (default off) global {only for MS-Windows GUI} When using the scroll wheel and this option is set, the window under the mouse pointer is scrolled. With this option off the current window is scrolled. Systems other than MS-Windows always behave like this option is on.

Let me mark it as broken for now. I am wondering if it makes sense to implement the broken functionality or remove it completely. I know I have noticed in the past that this behaviour was broken, but did not bisect the offending patch

Related Message from Bram: https://groups.google.com/g/vim_dev/c/BMqd-4fncIo/m/DqEzOU8QBgAJ which resulted later in patch 8.1.2257 to implement the scrollfocus option.

@LemonBoy Could you please take a look at this? You previously removed the related code in #10368.

@chrisbra Since this has been broken for a long time. I suggest to let this option on in default if it can be fixed.
