dezza created an issue (vim/vim#19640)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open gvim
  2. :tabnew, this causes the half-a-row in screenshot.

Happened both X11+wayland.

Also checked version 9.2.0115, as well as including #19603 fixing #19483 which I deem related. It seems like a similar math issue.

Screenshot.From.2026-03-11.22-48-21.png (view on web) ^ The white block is the artifact from the miscalculation.

Expected behaviour

Matches the exact screensize.

Version of Vim

9.2.0045

Environment

Operating system: Linux/Fedora Linux 43 (Workstation Edition)
Terminal: alacritty
Value of $TERM: alacritty
Shell: bash
