[vim/vim] Strange characters in SecureCRT (Issue #20156)

Steps to reproduce

1. Start vim 9.2.449 (the latest version) with SecureCRT
2. There is an unexpected "pp" string in the top-left corner of the intro screen.

Expected behaviour

No "pp" string.

Version of Vim

9.2.449

Environment

Operating system: WSL on Windows 10
Terminal: SecureCRT 9.2.3
Value of $TERM: xterm-256color
Shell: bash

bisect:

use command:

vim -u NONE --cmd 'set nocompatible'

vim-9.2.109: works fine
