I like to make small Markdown notes while reading papers and other things. Sometimes the notes contain image links to diagrams or schematics. When looking back through them, I found it annoying to have to open the images separately just to remember what they were.
So I made a tiny Vim plugin that pops images up under the cursor. Since Vim 9.2 can display images in popups, I also tried rendering selected LaTeX as an image and displaying that in a popup.
Nothing particularly sophisticated—just a small experiment, but I thought the result was neat.
