hi,
first of all thanks for this great plugin. I've been using it happily for nearly two years now!

I've been working with the plugin on linux, mac and recently windows but I'm not quite sure how the communication actually works.
Today I noticed that the r-function readClipboard() will always return "readClipboard()" when sending it from vim to R (on windows) and that it actually overrides the clipboard.

Is there a way to avoid this behavior or does the plugin actually communicate via the clipboard?

Best,
stephan

The Vim-R-plugin uses the clipboard on Windows, but not on Linux or Mac. On Windows, it sets the clipboard, paste its contents into R Console and, then, restores the clipboard data to the previous value. Please, see: http://www.lepem.ufc.br/jaa/vimrcom.pdf
