Pre-6.0 versions of vim

Does anyone see any reason at all to maintain compatibility with vim
versions earlier than 6.0? I doubt that anyone who hasn't upgraded
vim since 2001 is going to care about the update vim files.

And when I first read this, I though it was about keeping
compatibility with Perl earlier than 6.0. :-)

Yeah, probably no reason to do that. I'm pretty sure that perl6.vim
relies on features which are only available in 6.0 or later versions
anyway.
