We are having problem with our connection. We cannot send outgoing email on our outlook UNLESS we restart the interface by pressing the disconnect button (see picture). After restarting, the emails will be sent BUT after few minutes same problem occurs, then we have to restart again! We are also using google drive is unable to connect to google server (not sure if its because of frequent restarts we are doing)
When using cmd on host machine and try pinging the outgoing mail server Im having request timeout response. But when pinging inside virtual machine (virtualbox) Im receiving different response (see image). When using mobile data and ping the outgoing server mailv.emirates.net.ae using host machine then its successful. I've also tried different laptop and ping mailv.emirates.net.ae they are successful.
Those customers who are sending SPAM / MASS mail will be identified by spam mitigation algorithms and their internet SMTP traffic will be blocked and will not be able to send mails using outlook or any mail client for next 1 hour.
Our system will refresh the checks every one hour and will unblock the network if the spam/mass mailing is stopped.
Customer have to delete emails which is stuck on outbox and make sure to not to send spam/bulk mails in order to continue the service without any interruption.
It sounds to me like your WAN IP is getting, or is already, blacklisted. This could be because you have a computer on your network that is sending out spam. When you Disconnect and reconnect to PPPoE interface, you are given a new WAN IP address which is clear from any blacklists. After a few minutes the computer on your network has been spamming out on the new WAN IP so the blacklists start picking up that IP address.
To get around this problem, typically your ISP will have an Outgoing email server you can use. For example, if your ISP is Comcast you can generally use smtp.comcast.net with the appropriate settings.
i have Symatec Endpoint protection and malwarebytes in all the PCs even though etisalat is blocking outlook outgoing mails. Seems etisalat consider all legitimate mails are SPAM !!! and they simply block port 25 for long time and it open after office hours.
To be able to send Email2SMS messages from your email client you need to configure it to use SMTP authentication. Depending on which email client software you are using, configuration steps may vary. For details on configuring your email client, please follow the steps below. For webmail client at www.etisalat.ae/mymail, no configuration is required.
For MS Outlook
1. From the main toolbar menu, select Tools > Email Accounts
2. Select view or change existing email accounts and click Next
3. Select the name of your EIM Mail account and click Change
4. Under Server information, enter exmail.emirates.net.ae in the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) field, then click on More Settings.
5. Select the Outgoing Server tab, and check the box My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
6. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server and click OK
7. Click Next, then click Finish.
For Outlook Express
1. From the main toolbar menu select Tools > Accounts
2. Under the Mail tab, select your EIM Mail account and click Properties
3. Select the Servers tab and change the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) field to exmail.emirates.net.ae
4. Check the box My server requires authentication and click on Settings
5. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server
6. Click OK and then Close
When using the Internet Explorer web browser and the etisalat web mail to send Email2SMS messages, please make sure that you are composing your message in text mode and not HTML, in order to make sure that the body of your messages are being received.
In the event that your Email2SMS message exceeds the maximum number of characters allowed (560 characters for English and 280 characters for Arabic), the message will be truncated to the maximum number of characters allowed before delivery to its intended recipients.
Since SMS comprises of only static text, there is absolutely no risk of viruses being transferred to mobile phones as a result of using the service. In addition, this service does not support attachments, thus reducing any potential threats.
Yes. To reply to an Email2SMS message from your mobile phone:
1. Enter the sender's e-mail address in the Message field followed by a space
2. Between brackets, enter the subject of the message followed by a space
3. Add your message text with a maximum of 160 characters (including the e-mail address and subject)
4. In the Number field, key in 1234 and press Send
No. The full mobile number format (i.e. + ) is only needed when you are sending an Email2SMS to international mobile phone numbers. When sending an Email2SMS to a UAE mobile phone number, all you need is to address your Email2SMS to a local mobile phone number represented by the Operator code and the mobile number only.
Similar to sending an email to multiple recipients, simply insert the recipients' mobile numbers, separated by semi-colons (e.g. mobile...@email2sms.ae; mobile...@email2sms.ae etc.) in the 'To:' field of your email client and click on 'Send' key.
If your email client is configured to use Unicode (UTF-8) as the default encoding mechanism, the number of characters per SMS will be limited to only 70, as in the case when sending Arabic Email2SMS messages. To solve this problem, simply configure your email client to use a different encoding mechanism (e.g. US ASCII, or European ISO) after which you should be able to send a higher number of characters (up to 140) per SMS provided that it is written using Latin characters set. You can also use etisalat webmail (www.etisalat.ae/mymail) which by default supports sending an SMS up to 140 characters.
I was using my gmail account to send an smtp alert messages to my users email . Example, registration or account blocked etc. I am using a nodemailer and was email were sent successfully without a single failure. Below is my code .
The problem is, it does not send the email with new account. It rather returned the titled error on my console. I tried change the security of my new account to allow less secure apps from the google console all to no avail. Please what does this error implies? Also considering the user name and pwd for my email are used, is that the best option ? Please how is best achieved ? Any help would be appreciated.
I Found the example above on the doc . I am suspecting this may happened to you if your password contained @ symbol considering u and the smtps link. Its therefore advisable to split it into an object without the @ symbol interfering with your smtps url. This is my guess thought. Nonetheless the above solution works for me. Plus don't forget to allow less secure apps from your google console.
If nothing else works, it might be because of your server provider didn't enable port 465 for you. I'm using A2 Hosting, they are not enable port 465 by default, after talking with the technical support then only I can send out the email by using google workspace email.
I am newly installed Virtualmin on my vps, its was working very smoothly, but from last 15 days, i have noticed in my mail queue more than 15000 emails are stuck. when I opened these queued emails then I have noticed that these emails senders are unknown (means using any of the user from my server but from UNKNOWN sender) that using through my vps, and when I checked my IP reputation have been lost in many websites using these spamming, I delete all these emails from my queue, and then on Friday 22 Nov 2019 I received an email from my service provider that ur ip is used in spamming, and after checking I again noticed that more than 10000 emails stuck in queue and all like previous, so I activate the Configserver Firewall (Process Tracking etc) and meanwhile disabled my root user and activate ssh based login and changed my password for control panel. Now Configserver sent me alert about "Suspicious file/directory alert", whats the mean of this alert.
Is any one facing the same problem in which sender account is unknown and using your server ip, thats mean someone using your server but through hacking etc or what else I am not able to understand. Can anyone help me in this regard. I have the pics of the spamming emails and emails headers etc. in which clearly shown my server ip but sender account is unknown and constantly shows 2 ips, so for security reason I have permanently block these 2 ips in my firewall.
Dear, I have checked the Webmin Actions Logfile from last week, but cant find any activity, and all the actions of the each user is understandable, then how can it be possible that someone use your ip address and/or ur mailserver etc. for using sending spam emails, I can't find any unknown or suspicious login or action in my webmin actions log file.

(EDIT...oh i see it, yep you did)Whilst i havent had email problems like this yet, my backup will be to implement what google cloud do, that is to eventually change all email configuration to non standard ports (completely blocking standard ones) and use a mail relay such as mailgun or sendgrid.
