The Philosophy Club meets Friday afternoons at Lake Miona Recreation Center in The Villages, FL.  Meetings start promptly at 4:00PM and end at 5:30PM. Presenters usually speak for 25 to 45 minutes, followed by a Discussion Period where the Leader and Audience Members ask Questions and express their Opinions, and the Presenter replies.

Friday,     8/1            Mike DaVita           "WW2 Normandy Landings"
Mike will address the elaborate planning to deceive Germany about the location of the D-Day landings as well as preparing the battlefield to increase the probability of success.

Friday,      8/8           Morris Wolff          "The Value of Altruism"

Friday,      8/15          Jim Laurent          "Why Is My Skin This Color and Does It Matter?"
Jim examines the history of discrimination by skin color as well as the migration patterns and genetic basis that gave rise to the wide variety of skin colors.
