Hello All

Steve and I have been doing some work on the Downloads tab file system to try to find a way to accommodate the growing body of new firmware being developed.

This is a work in progress and may well change.

In the 'firmware' top level folder is a ReadMe.txt document that contains a tree diagram of the file system to assist with navigation.

I have reproduced the diagram below for information.

Regards
Terry

Hello All

We have done some further re-arranging on the VT website Downloads file system to (hopefully) improve the navigation.

The tree diagram for the filesystem is shown below.

If you are looking for firmware for a particular device
  - select the firmware family eg 'vt' or 'secn'
  - select 'stable' for released firmware, or 'unstable' for development versions or release candidates
  - select the type of device eg 'mp', ns2' or 'tp-703n'

All the original directories containing firmware have been moved under the top level 'archive' directory, so if you can't find something that was available previously, look in 'archive' and hopefully you will find it there.

Please let us know if there is any material that is not in the new structure and we will add it in.

If you have other firmware builds that you would like to share, please let us know and we can look at making it available through the Downloads site.

As always, all feedback and suggestions welcome.

Regards
Terry

Hi Carlos
Happy to add something for SPUD.

Looking at the install page, it is based around getting the code from the repo with svn, so I'm not sure what should be put on the Downloads page.

Can you suggest what would be appropriate to put on the Downloads page?

Regards
Terry

Hi Carlos,

The home page for SPUD is still at

http://spud.it46.se/spud/install

For some reason the install page is asking for the demo page password
(user: vt-admin, password: ouagadougou).

Terry has been working on getting the firmware versioning and access
in order. Alberto is tackling the task of harmonising the somewhat
organic collection of repositories and versioning systems for Village
Telco. Stand by. Alberto and Louise have just had a baby boy so
their response times may be somewhat impaired by the sleep patterns.

Regards... Steve

P.S. Alberto http://dev.villagetelco.org seems to be suffering again.

Hi Terry
I have no special suggestions. However If SPUD is still a VT's component I think it would be a good idea to have it accessibly.
kind wishes,
