I would like to get this going here in Macon. Not only to meet new people and gain knowledge but to share my tools, and technology with others.

Yes!.  I moved back to macon and contacted the Knight Foundation for funding.  We should hear back in January sometime.  In the meanwhile suggestions for a location are appreciated,  If you want to suggest a place just include the address, zoning, and lease or purchase cost.

Oh no, it's not mine. It just opened last month. It's not great for what I wanted it for anyway. I was hoping for some more industrial equipment. Nothing in there is worth more than $500. Stuff like CNC machine and laser cutter would have been nice. Or a professional 3d printer. But alas nothing like that.

What kind of thing are y'all into that you would use a maker space for? Any electronics hobbyists out there? Arduino? raspberry pi? Who loves coding? How about circuit design?

I do 3d printing, cnc milling, laser cutting, electronics, programming, some stuff with the arduino, raspberry pi, TCDS, VR dev, and  website dev. What the hackerspace has in it will depend on the people who show up.
