I feel like my Israel bashing came across as harsh and unjustified. So permit me to try and justify it: if you just open up your browser to one of the main Israeli newspapers – I prefer Ha’aretz, admittedly a bit to the left – you’ll find stuff that rarely makes it into the American press. If you read this stuff for a few months an entirely different perspective opens up. Keep in mind that the article below is written by an Israeli Jew, not some Arab suicide bomber.
“But corruption on the hill in West Jerusalem is nothing compared to the theft of land, identity rape, and the body of lies and criminal discrimination against 270,000 residents of the eastern part of the city.
Although these despicable acts have been going on in broad daylight for years, the public and the media don't find them interesting. After all, it's about Arabs.”
