electricity use, is yours inexplicably high??

Hi there everyone!  Apparently this month my use is 514 kWh, and before that it is usually around 400 plus, which seems very high, especially as I live in a studio.  Is there something I am not understanding about how we are getting metered?

Happy New Year to all.

 

I’m just jumping in the shark pool to offer a possible answer on the KWH discrepancy.

 

Has anyone looked to see if the usage is estimated or actual?

 

If estimated, then the number reported may just be an aberration and it will correct itself when there is an actual reading.

 

If actual, then I don’t know why it’s higher. (Perhaps people are using an electric blanket at night, or they bought a new computer, or have a new space heater, or….. the list is endless.)
