Dear all, as the new version progresses, I just wanted to let you know that we have decided to move away from the notion of "rooms" and go with the more traditional notion of groups. Originally we chose the idea of rooms because it gave the sense of not putting anyone in control, while giving to people the possibility to have some privacy through obscurity (who knows the name of your room?).

But we have now realised that we need to make questions where only some people can vote, or only some people can suggest. Or that are only open to some people. In short we need to be able to micromanage who can see and read and participate in a question, and how (and why). Part of this is because we have now realised that the system can only work if only up to 2 dozen people participate. Too many and it becomes really difficult to find a meaningful Pareto Front.

Also I had many people asking me how they could have a space protected, just for them self. Security through obscurity is generally considered a very bad level of security.

So we are going to implement groups. And everything that comes with it. Administrators (ugh)... members... and so on.

Our aim is eventually to make Democratic Vilfredo Based groups. Something where the settings of the group should be defined by a Vilfredo question, and the members vote what the settings will be. But this will not be our starting point, but our aim.
