I really feel sooo bad about the classes I bunked!!!  Now, I really understand why some of you were so regular in attending all the classes!! So Raghu, you were making sure it did not come back to bite you later right??!!

Dear Sathish

Thank you for the feed back and compliments...but dear, remember I hit hatrick...attendance shortage in all three years of my degree course....! Even the principal taunted me to become a lecturer in English, where my attendance was 0! I proved his prophecy...I am a an asst prof in English now! Unless teaching becomes more interactive and till the day we involve students, this problem persists.

Hi Raghu,   You have hit the targets thru' FB. (and inducing me to use FB - on regular basis) Good article, eye opener for Students and other lecturers. I can mention it is eye opener for MANAGEMENT also to increase your rewards. Eye opener for University to change the syllabus on timely basis.       “Imagine 100+ grown-up boys and girls in a packed hall, hearing a lecture from an underpaid lecturer on a decade-old syllabus… Phew! Thank you leo for your comments. We are lucky in a manner that we get at least UGC basic but less DA; some colleges pay so less that they find it hard to sustain life...I am speaking for them, and the intelligent management clubs sections and hoard students to save money on recruiting more teachers. More than money what we need is job satisfaction. That you get by being alive in the class rooms! Keep in touch.

Hi Raghu,

Read ur article today and my son's comments yesterday made me post my reply. My son's classmates use "Facebook" to mass bunk. Ironically, their facebook id is called "Facebook can help u study"! Yesterday they mass bunked  knowing pretty well that there was no "bundh". When I insisted him on helping me out in "cleaning the kitchen" he readily agreed saying " at least now the time is well spent and i would rather do this than attend college" !!!!!
