Hey all, I am having issues with an icon packager set not purchased on wincustomize, though the creator has content here.
I purchased Velvet Blue (not to be confused with Blue Velvet, I have that one too, it works fine) by AceMatrix off his iconpops site:

The issue is when installed (I copied the extracted folder to where iconpackager stores the icon sets like I had to do with Blue Velvet, which I have had for months), the icons show up initially as they should but when iconpackager is relaunched, some icons are missing, and even they are gone from the windows desktop, replaced with a blank page icon. Also I have noticed that icons seem to be missing from both the icon set folder and the backup sub folder.
Using the ip package builder takes a lot of time. Does anyone know how to convert non-ip icon packs to iconpackager packs? I installed one through 7tsp which changes the imageres.dll and some other .dll files. Then when I opened the iconpackager program, the windows default pack was now the 7tsp pack. So, I thought I could simply rename it and it would then be a whole new ip. I did so but it didn't work. I'm not sure but I guess the ip program won't allow renaming of the default no matter what icons are set as default.
It does what it's suppose to do quite well but like every stardock product, as soon as you realise just how much of your computer it has taken upon itself to take control of and choose to restrict it some, look out. Stardock products love to install everywhere and do not uninstall themselves properly still leaving running processes on your system. Long after you've washed your hands of them
Like windowblinds I find the packages to be well done but big and tacky and while thats not the fault of the program whats the point if there isn't anything that looks good available for it. I seem to always grab dock icons from devart which look ONE MILLION times better
I prefer Microangelo. It doesn't have a control panel like iconpackager but right clicking on an icon I want to change and selecting apperance works just fine for me
