Hello everyone,
Please find attached a poster for two film screenings and panels
happening in recognition of December 6, the National Day of
Remembrance and Action On Violence Against Women:
The first event is on
Tuesday, November 29th, from 3 - 4:30PM
and will be a film screening of "Marker of Change - The Story of the
Women's Monument" and a panel, in Maclaurin A144. Janni Aragon (Sr.
Instructor, Poli Sc.), Sikata Banerjee (Assoc. Dean, Humanities),
and an Engineering Students Society Rep will be speaking.
On
Thursday, December 1, at 3 - 4:30PM the film "Finding
Dawn" will be shown with speakers to follow, at Cinecenta. Catherine
Mateer (Assoc. VP, Academic Planning), Christine Welsh (Assoc.
Prof., Women's Studies), and Robina Thomas (Assist. Prof., School of
Social Work) will be speaking.
