If you've ever been interested in learning more about
trans* people and gender identity disorder (GID), today's your lucky day!

UVic Pride is hosting a free film screening of Diagnosing Difference on
Thursday, November 17th, at 7pm, followed by a short Panel Discussion with community members.

Diagnosing Difference is a documentary which consists of thirteen
people of different gender identities, ages, races, ethnicities, and
experiences with the American health care system in regards to transgender
and transexual mental and physical health issues.

The film works to debunk myths around transgender and transexual people.
The film focuses on the development and history of Gender Identity
Disorder (GID), and how it impacts the way trans* people are treated and
viewed by the health care system.

"...mandatory viewing for all medical and mental health providers..."
- Dr. Kimmel, Staff Psychologist, Harvard University

Open to Everybody! Whether you are an expert on trans* issues or don't know the
difference between transgender and transexual, we encourage you to come to this event!

Thursday, November 17, 7pm
Cinecenta Theatre, UVic Student Union Building
Free. However, we will be taking donations for Out of the Rain
Youth shelter and encourage you to bring socks and blankets.
