“Reproductive Justice” is a term created by women of colour activists in the 1990s. It encompasses the right to have children, the right to not have children, and the right to parent. Reproductive justice work aims to address the systemic social inequalities that inform the ability of individuals to make choices about their bodies, sexuality, and families.
