15 mile lollipop loop with 1100 feet of elevation gain

Description:

Join us for a fast-paced 15 mile lollipop loop across the 3/4 mile Neabsco Boardwalk,  traversing the wetlands around Neabsco Creek, passing through the Julia J. Metz Wetlands Preserve, and entering Leesylvania State Park, bordering the Potomac.  Climbing the ridge there, we will visit a Confederate cannon emplacement, the site of the Lee family plantation and cemetery, and the ruins of a 19th century Fairfax family estate.  About 1100 feet of gain.
