Muddy Branch Greenway Trail, Montgomery Co, MD - Meet at 8 AM in the parking area at the entrance to Blockhouse Point Park (39.066,-77.305).  This is on the southwest side of River Road between Pennyfield and Violettes Lock Roads and has obvious signs. From there we will cross River Road and do an out and back on the Muddy Branch Greenway Trail.  It’s 9 miles to the end of the trail at Darnestown Road (Rt 28), but hikers may turn around at any point.  Up to 18 miles with about 1000 feet of ascent.  See the map at https://montgomeryparks.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Muddy-Branch-Trail-Map-2024-letter-PRESS_a11y.pdf.
