Tuesday hike

Our Tuesday (May 1st) hike will be in the central section of SNP (PATC Map 10).  We'll do an 15 mile circuit hike starting at Rt 600.  We'll ascend the Hazel River Trail to White Rocks trail and on using the following trails:  Hazel Mt., Catlettt Spur, Hannah Run, Hot Short, Pine Gap, Broad Hollow, and down Sam's Ridge trail to the parking lot.  Optional short cuts available.  Please bring your own maps.  I do not supply maps.  NOTE:  This is a different hike from the one posted in the PATC newsletter.

To carpool, meet at 7 am at the Stone Rd Park and Ride. Take I66 west to exit 52 then right onto Rt 29 then 2nd right into parking lot then immediately left to corner of lot.  The trailhead is located on Rt 600 (from VA 231 turn west on Rt 681 to fork then right onto Rt 600).
