Hi Dave,
We moved because my wife, Angie, who suffers from depression, felt the need to. We came here because I love the Southwest. All that exposed rock is wonderful, and in addition to exploring in general I plan to bag a lot of peaks. As I age, easier
climbing also appeals! I'd love to have you join me in doing that sometime.
I don't think that my email got sent to the other Vigorous Hikers, and I've forgotten how to do that. If it's convenient, could you forward it to them? Thanks.
More power to you for even trying Logan!
John

Hi John,
Sorry I didn't get to see you before your move. I didn't make the summit of Logan, due to weather, but it was another good trip. However, I think I'm getting to the age where I no longer want to camp out on glaciers for 2 to 3 weeks, so I think it was my last major alpine climb. I do want to do the second half of the Colorado Trail from Monarch Pass to Durango and climb 14ers along the way, so it is possible I may be near Santa Fe next summer. Why are you moving? We'll miss you.
Dave

Dave et al.,
I'd hoped to hike with you all one last time, to say good-bye, as I've just moved to New Mexico, near Santa Fe. But things got hectic towards the end. I'll miss you all, and that includes Clipper.
Please do think of spending a night or two with Angie and me if you're out this way; address etc below. Hiking around here at the south end of the Rockies rumored to be good; long-distance views, even!
[Dave, congratulations on doing Logan!]
All the best, and happy trails,
John
