This second story really caught my eye, and took me right back to the
earlier show that Gary put on three days into the cloud fiasco.

Right on again, Gary - but this is all too familiar - including
"...the airplane that could have told us that the cloud was not a
threat - was not working when the questions were being asked..."

I suppose it is too late now to ask if only one such plane was ever
manufactured on the planet. Given the global reach of this problem. I
feel really bad for the airlines, because the people who ordered the
planes down are not being the ones asked to pay peoples' expenses for
hotels, etc. In the EU, the law requires the airlines to pay for
situations like these. Unlike in North America.
