Sometimesyou have xats and need days, sometimes you have days and need xats. Other times, you may want to trade or buy powers with your xats or days. This guide will show you how to use the xat trade engine for easier and safer trading. To find users to trade with, visit a trade chat.

Safe trading is a process of exchanging either xats, days, or powers between users. To use it, both users enter the amount of xats, days, or powers they wish to exchange. If the offer meets both users' expectations, they may continue with the trade by confirming it with their xat account password.

The top section of the trade application displays the total amount of xats, days and powers you have on your account. The middle-left section displays your offer and the middle-right section displays the offer from the person you are trading with.

After both of you have made your offers and agree to carry out the trade, fill in your xat account's password into the bottom "password" field, click on "Accept trade", double check the offers to make sure everything is as it should be and click on "Confirm trade" to successfully complete the trade.

On the top left corner of the window and also below the password field is the username of the person you are transferring xats/days to. Make sure it is who you think it is before transferring. Insert a message you want to display to the person receiving the xats or days and then proceed to enter your xat password into the password field and the amount of xats or days you are transferring into their respective fields.

If you receive a "failed" message after you have accepted and confirmed a trade, this generally means that the person you are trading with has either input a bad password, does not have enough xats, does not have enough subscriber time or they have a transfer hold.

This error means that you do not have enough xats to trade. For example, if you only have 100 xats but you are trying to trade 400 xats, you will get this error message. This means that you do not have the other 300 xats to cover what you are trying to trade. You can get more xats or days by going to xat.com and clicking the Store dropdown menu and then clicking "Buy xats days," or by clicking on the "Get xats" button located on the smiley bar of the chatroom.

You get this error because you do not have enough days to cover the trade you are trying to complete. For example, you could offer 7,000 days but you only really have 3 days. This will result in you getting this error. You can get more xats or days by going to the buy page or by clicking on the "Get xats" button located on the smiley bar of a chatroom.

This error means that you are inputting the wrong password. The correct password to enter would be the password that you chose when you had registered for your own xat account. To recover your password, click here and select "Lost password/Username" at the top.

Reserve is a restriction that may occur after you buy xats and days. It is used to protect you from someone else getting into your account and giving them away. If you want a reserve reduction you can open a ticket and request it; otherwise, you must wait for the reserve to reduce. Note: There is no guarantee that you will receive a reserve reduction if you open a ticket.

The Held message occurs when your account has been held, which can be due to several reasons. Your account may have been detected to have become a victim of Phishing, and the hold was automatically put in place to protect your xats/days/powers. In this case, it will go away in a few days, which will allow enough time to let you restore your account and make sure the phisher can not take your xats/days/powers away.

If someone offered you 420 days but instead only had 20 days, when you and the other person press trade, a message will pop up informing you that the user does not have enough subscriber time. It will also show that the trade failed to the other person.

After clicking accept, both users are required to click again to confirm the trade. Always make sure that the trade is what you want before confirming. If you asked for days, make sure they did not enter xats. Also, double check to make sure that the correct number of digits are there, such as 380 xats instead of 38 xats for Nameglow, or 2600 xats instead of 260 xats for 200 days.

xats and days are the currency of xat, which can be spent on multiple different features within the website. xats purchased directly from xat.com come with subscriber days. Subscriber days allow you to maintain your subscriber abilities.

To buy xats and days, click the "get xats" button on the smiley line of any chat group. You will be then redirected to the xat store page. From there, you will be able to choose from five different packages, as well as a variety of payment methods. When you decide which package and payment method suits you the best, click the respective button to the package and payment method you chose to complete your purchase.

Powers are special abilities/smiley sets that can be purchased with xats and/or subscriber days. Most powers are smiley powers, meaning they can be used by typing the smiley code like you would on any default smiley. More details on specific powers may be found in their respective wiki article.

To use the Translator feature, click your name at the top of the Visitors list, then click "Settings" and click "Translator". Select "Show Translation" to choose where you want your translated messages to be displayed, "Your Language" for the language that you write in, and "Translate To" for the language that you want your writing to be translated into. The translated message will appear next to the original message by default. You can also choose to send only the translated message, hiding the original message, by unchecking the "Include Original Message" box. Once it is set properly, check "Enable On Current Chat" and click "Save Settings". If you wish to disable the app, just repeat the process, uncheck "Enable On Current Chat" and click "Save Settings".

Note: Remember to enter the full text, avoiding abbreviations, since the translator does not translate them. This will disrupt the translation, which will hinder the user's understanding of what you say.

To send a kiss, click the magic 8ball on the smiley line of any chat group, then click "kisses" and browse for one you would like to send. You may click on the kisses to preview them without entering your xat account password (only you will see the animation preview). Once you have found a kiss you would like, enter your password and an optional message and click on the kiss.

You can use your xats to purchase a group that has been ownerless for at least three months or if they have been "deleted" by its previous main owner. Group transfers have a minimum price of 1,000 xats and no maximum price. Generally speaking, it primarily depends on how popular the name is. Groups that have been recently visited by an owner won't be available for transfer.

Marriages and BFFs (Best Friends Forever) allow you to pair up on xat. Once you marry or BFF another user, your names will always appear on top of each other on the Visitors list in any chat where you are both online. The person with the highest rank takes priority in the order of pairing on the user list. If both users are ranked the same, the person who is higher thanks to Topman abilities goes on top. You can marry/BFF anyone you want as long as neither of you is already in a relationship, and the other person does not have the Single power enabled. Remember that anyone you BFF or marry is able to divorce you for free at any time for any reason. To get married/BFFed, click on the person's name, and click the "Marry/BFF" button. Best Friends will be connected with a cross, while married pairs will be connected with a heart.

Divorces are free. To divorce someone, click on anyone's (including yourself) name and click the "Divorce" button. A window to divorce will be open, containing a "message" field (optional) to display publicly. After deciding whether or not to add a message, fill in the "password" field and click the "Argue" animation to confirm it. An animation of 2 people arguing will be displayed in the chat group. If you change your mind and want to marry/BFF again, it will cost another 200 xats, so make sure you are certain.

Powers are special abilities/smiley sets that you can purchase with xats and/or subscriber days. These abilities may provide a better visual and user-friendly experience when chatting. To use powers, you must have subscriber days. Learn more about Powers in its own dedicated article.

Promote your chat group with xats and days. It will appear on the xat.com main page during the promotion to help you gain regular users. You may also advertise your chat group with banner ads that appear above or below chat groups depending on the GControl settings.

Short usernames (referred to as short names) are register names that you can purchase for xats. They are limited to 4-9 characters in length, as opposed to the free default register names that are created on registration, which are 10-18 characters long. Short names may contain numbers, but must start with a letter. You can get short name costs by going to the buy a short name page.

Trading is how xat users swap and purchase xats, powers and subscriber days from each other. To safely trade with another user, xat has a trade application. To access the trade application, type "trade" in any chat and click on the underlined text.
