Mai Linh agree that anh Hiep's seur was very "inflexible". And
inflexibility was an important personal trace that played a critical
role in her decision to become a nun. How could she become a good
nun if she was not rigid, single-minded, obligatory, and
obstinated ? :-)
but ML don't think "that relationship is doomed from the start".
It could be a great relationship with a happy ending if anh Hiep was
also a rigid, stiff-in-manner, and less flamboyant person who
willing to walk a narrow path :-))))

If she met a different man, she could be a great lover, then a great
housewife --very faithful, very dedicated to her husband, and wholely
comitted to building a perfect family -- the way she selflessly
devoted her life to God.

ML can't help it but thinking that somewhere someday there is a nun,
in some mellow and untidy moments, thinking of anh Hiep and sheding
her tears for a long lost love. And she could have wished that and
Hiep didn't flirt with the other lady on that faithful day :-)))
